DAY 1 : First Day Tour of the Amazing City of Fort Worth

8:00 am is Time for Coffee

Paris Coffee shop is where you should be headed at 8:00 am in the morning. This is an old fashioned coffee shop that is a diner too. With cheap prices and delicious dishes, this diner attracts tourists as well as, local regulars who enjoy themselves here. 9:00 am is When the Museum Doors are Open 

The Sid Richardson collection of western art is perfect for those who love all things western. Its bronzes and paintings are amazing and admirers of Western art should not give this one a miss.  The opening hours are from 9 am to 5 pm Mondays to Thursdays, till 8 pm on Fridays and Saturdays and noon to 5 pm on Sunday.

10:00 am - Head to Amon Carter Museum of American Art

Pre-American art is a stunning display at Amon Carter Museum of American Art. You get to see iconic works by artists such as Josh Singer Sargent, Alexander Calder, and impressive works showing the American West to interested tourists. Walking through this museum is like a visual tour of the United States. This museum opens its doors at 10 am and closes on 5 pm Tuesdays to Saturdays and noon to 5 pm on Sunday.

11:00 am - When You have Your NASCAR Experience 

Visit the Texas Motor Speedway to have a full on NASCAR experience. Annual stock car race is held in the month of November but for USD 125, you can go for a ride in the racer. Speedway is 20 miles north of downtown. For adults, the tour charges are $8 while for children, they are $6. opening hours are from 9 in the morning to 5 in the evening from Mondays to Fridays and 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday and Sundays.

12:00 pm is Emporium Time 

Flying Saucer Draught Emporium is where you get 80 beers on tap. This place is a haven for those who love craft beer. Half Acre Hell is the famous patio of this bar and emporium. The emporium is open from 11 in the morning to 1 in the afternoon Mondays to Thursdays and till 2 am Friday and Saturday. It opens from noon to midnight on Sundays.

1:00 pm - Lunchtime at Bonnell’s Fine Texas Cuisine 

Texas fine dining is where its at if you plan a trip to Bonnell’s Fine Texas Cuisine which features products from local farms as well as ranch farms and you get the best Texas cheese and creme brulee here. Lunch hours are from Tuesday to Friday while dinner is from Tuesday to Saturday. Meals cost anywhere between $10 to $42.

2:00 pm - Time for a Walk in Botanic Garden

Fort Worth Botanic Garden is a Japanese garden complete with koi pond as well as a tropical conservatory which are its highlights.  Admission is free for adults and children. But for the conservatory, a nominal fee of $1 is charged for adults and 50 cents for children. Opening hours are from 10 in the morning to 9 in the evening Monday to Friday. From 10 am, the garden remains open till 6 pm on Sundays and closes on weekends in the months from November to March.

3:00 pm - See the Cattle Auction

The Cattle Auction opens from 8 in the morning. Those who are curious will want to explore the amazing live auction cattle complete with an alert auctioneer as visitors are welcome to observe.

4:00 pm - Hit the Trail

Trinity Trails is where the fun begins at 4:00 pm with hiking, biking and horse riding along the Trinity River. Some of the major natural parks are located here as well. 

Make the Money at 5:00 pm 

Rather, watch how money is made at the US treasury Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Located in Fort Worth, United States, this treasury is the place where Ben Franklin is more than a name. Its opening hours are from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Tuesday to Friday.

Zambrano Wine Cellar and Bistro is where the locals and tourists alike have a good time. The wine here is superlative and the atmosphere is scintillating. 9:00 pm - Joe T. Garcia’s is the Right Place to Grab a Meal

This is the most famous restaurant in Fort Worth with magical courtyards lit with candles and fountains bubbling amidst tropical foliage . The mains cost between $8 to $14 and the experience is simply out of this world. From 11 am in the morning to 2:30 pm in the afternoon and 5 to 10 in the evening/night, this establishment remains open. On Fridays and Saturdays, you can visit the restaurant from 11 am to 11 pm. White Elephant Saloon is where the Stockyard cowboys hang out. This bar has been around since the 1880s and it is owned by T. Love. Local talent is featured regularly at this bar.  This bar remains open from noon to midnight on Sundays to Thursdays and till 2 am on Fridays and Saturdays

10:00 am - It’s Time to Visit the Zoo

Country’s best small art museum- that is what Kimbell Art Museum is famous for. You can enjoy European masterpieces by Cezanne and Caravaggio. 3:00 pm is the Right Time for a Visit to Modern Art Museum

This museum is located in Darnell Street and you can enjoy the mind expanding paintings by artistic masters like Picasso and Mark Rothko. Don’t miss out on the Twenty Five Colored Marilyns created by Andy Warhol, the master of modern art.  While adults get charged $10, children are admitted without charge to the museum. The stockyards cattle drive down Exchange Avenue is just amazing and you can enjoy the sight of Texas leghorns in a stunning photo op.  Drives are conducted daily on 11:30 am and 4 pm.
