Fort Worth Texas boasts some of the most amazing tourist attractions in North America. This includes the best small art museum in the US and one of the most popular zoos. Fort Worth is also home to notable tourist spots such as the Fort Worth Botanical Garden, and cattle auction. 

Kimball Art Museum- The Most Renowned Small Art Museum in the US

This art museum is as considered one of the best in the US. European masters like El Greco and Cezanne are featured in this museum which allows viewers to see the works under natural lighting. Michelangelo’s first painting, The Torment of St. Anthony is one of the biggest attractions here. The opening hours are 10 in the morning to 5 in the evening on Tuesday to Thursday and Saturday. Museum is open from noon to 8 pm on Friday and till 5 pm on Sunday.

Bureau of Engraving and Printing- Money Making is Interesting



The Bureau of Engraving and Printing is the US Treasury Facility where Ben Franklin is more than just a name. Admission to this facility is free and opening hours are from 8:30 in the morning to 5:30 in the evening only Tuesdays to Fridays.

Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth- Luminaries Galore 



Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth has the most interesting works by well known modern masters such as Mark Rothko, Picasso, Anselm Kiefer, Martin Puryear and Andy Warhol. The restaurant of this museum, Cafe Modern is the perfect place to enjoy a bite and sip. While $10 is charged for adult admission, entry for children to this museum is free. Its opening hours are from 10 in the morning to 5 in the evening from Tuesdays to Sundays and till 8 pm on Thursday.

Stockyards- Where The West Begins

Cattle Auction- The Thrill of the Cowboys and Fast Talking Auctioneers

The cattle auction is held in the Fort Worth Livestock Exchange Building where heifers and cowboys are a regular sight. For the true sense of the Wild West, visit this auction site and watch the action unfold. Opening hours are from 8 am in the morning.

Fort Worth Zoo- Walk on the Wild Side 


For the best sights of nature and wildlife in the US, many feel that Fort Worth Zoo is the top of the line. It is home to 650 species and close to 5000 inhabitants along with rare and endangered species. Fort Worth Zoo is an interesting and educational experience, especially if you are fond of nature and wildlife. For adults, the fee for entry is $12 while it is $9 for children, and parking costs around $5. The zoo is open from 10 in the morning to 5 in the evening.

Sundance Square - Art, Architecture and More



Sundance Square is a 14 block unit near main and 3rd street. This area is known for its stunning architecture, art galleries and numerous bars as well as eateries. 

Fort Worth Botanic Garden- Flora and Fauna That is Striking 


Of all the gardens and parks, this is the most picturesque one in Fort Worth. With a Japanese garden and a koi pond as well as a observatory featuring tropical plants, this botanic garden is a sight to behold. Located near the southwestern section of Trinity Park, admission is free but charges for admission to the conservatory are a nominal fee of $1 and 50 cents for children.

Sid Richardson Collection of Western Art-Leading Museum and Gallery

Of the museums and galleries in Fort Worth, this one is most well known  for its Frederic Remington and Charles Russell sculptures and paintings. This has one of the finest collections of Western arts in all of Texas.

Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame- Embodying the Western Spirit


Find out more about the cowboy greats and what distinguishes the men from the ordinary mortals at the rodeo at the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame. Entry for adults costs $5 and it is $3 for children. The hall of fame is open from 10 in the morning to 6 in the evening Mondays to Thursdays and till 7 pm on Friday and Saturday. The museum opens at noon and shuts at 5 pm on Sundays.
